5Works well
By Brandon Ferguson
Runs XBMC well most of the time. However, does not do 1080P without hoping around and I also receive an error about external players being active.Everything that doesn't involve using XBMC works GREAT. Fun device to play with but wouldn't recommend for a media streamer yet until they work out the kinks.

3Disappointing
By CT
If one of its competitors, the X3 Android 4.0 Media Box with wireless mouse, had been available in black, I probably would not have spent $30.00 extra to give this one a try before anyone had reviewed it. (I like white better, but I thought it would stand out too much next to my black soundbar) I still don't know if the X3 Android 4.0 Media Box with wireless mouse would be better but am reluctant to try it now. This one is set-up now, more or less, and I have decided to keep it, but I can't say I am happy with it. Hopefully, they will improve on it before my Directv contract is up in a year and I have to survive with just this box.First, there is absolutely no documentation for it. The website printed on the box has only broken links and an email to the contact address has not yielded any response. The general set-up was quite intuitive, at least for someone familiar with Android. Tip: Let the system update the software BEFORE you do the set-up or you will have to start over when it is finished updating. Might not be a problem for you, but my WiFi connection has a 128-key passcode. Didn't appreciate having to enter it twice. So far I have been unable to connect the box via Bluetooth to my Android tab or phone or anything else for that matter. I can click on the "on" button, but then it just hangs and eventually returns to off. And then there is the remote. The first one arrived defective, well at least without a battery. It doesn't have a battery compartment, so I didn't try to crack the unit open until the replacement had arrived. The replacement works well, but using it, especially scrolling with it is a pain (ergo the idea to connect my Tab and use its keyboard instead). I will be very curious to see how long it holds up to the continual clicking and holding down of the OK button.I am also wondering, if the "choppiness" of the video feeds may not be due to the unit temperature. It gets quite hot even though in my set-up it has plenty of air circulating around it. I am using the box on a LG 50PK750, a 50" plasma TV.Summary, the box is a great idea, xbmc is a great concept, but both not quite there yet.
